It was a miserable afternoon to play any match and made playing conditions very tricky for both sides. The Blues took a while to settle into the match and it wasn’t really until the start of the 2nd half that the girls got into their stride. The efforts of Elaine Flood have to be noted as she made some cracking saves in these slippery and wet conditions. Unfortunately the girls found it hard to get ahead of Longford and they ended up short when the final whistle blew. No doubt this team will be back for more next year. Hard luck ladies but lets not forget all that was achieved this year. Well done.
