The premier team played their second league game of the season at home to Knockavilla on Saturday afternoon under atrocious weather conditions whilst the 3rd division team played in Carraigadrohid against Bweeg in the Presidents cup at the same time.
The premiers were slow to start and as a result fell behind shortly after kick-off to a well worked goal by Knockavilla. The first half produced very few chances for either side and it remained 1 – 0 going into the second half.Under the guidance of new manager Michael Walsh they picked up the tempo in the second half and got their passing game going to good effect as they were back on level terms within twenty minutes of the restart and began to dominate their opposition but could not find a winner as the weather worsened. The game finished 1 – 1
The 3rd division side fared better in Carraigadrohid and held on to beat Bweeg on a 1 – 0 scoreline to advance to the third round of the Presidents cup.
