Minor Hurling CountyFinal
Congrats to our minorhurling team who captured the county title by defeating Burgess on Saturdaylast in Templederry. After playing with the wind in the first half our boyslead at the break by 8 points. However Burgess came out of the blocks thesharper in the second half and outscored us by 1-3 to 1 point to leave a goalbetween the sides entering the final quarter. However all our lads put theirshoulder to the wheel and defending resolutely to see the game out and won by 4points in the finish. Shane Hassett collected the Paddy Broderick cup from clubchairman Austin Broderick on behalf of the Broderick family. The club wouldlike to thank the management team of John Hassett, Eamonn Kiely and Eamonn Longand also to their coach Paudie Butler.
County Junior B Final
At the time of goingto press, it is unknown if the county final will go ahead this coming weekend,see county board fixtures for full details. A special word of thanks must go tothe numerous Junior A’s and Intermediates who played the Junior B’s in achallenge on Sunday morning last.
Tripto Thomond Park
Our u10’s & 12’s had a wonderful tripto Limerick last Saturday evening firstly for a meal in Supermac’s andthen to Thomond Park to see Munster play Edinburgh, this was a real treat aftera great year’s hurling for these teams. This trip was generously sponsored by JohnRyan (Connells Cross). The kids, coaches and parents of these kids reallyappreciate John’s support & interest in these young players.
