All Ireland Minor Hurling Final : Congratulations to Michael Breen, Stephen O Brien and the Tipperary Minor Hurling Team who won the All Ireland Minor Title last Sunday in Croke Park on a final score-line of 2-18 to 1-11. This was Tipperary’s 19th title and the first since 2007. A post match reception was held in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel to celebrate this great victory, hosted by the Dublin Tipperary Association and it was attended by many family and club members.

Under 16 Hurlers: This team continued on their winning ways with a comprehensive 8 point victory
over South Tipperary champions Killanaule. The game was played in the Ragg on a pitch which was
in pristine condition for hurling. Ballina took control of this game from an early stage and were first
to score. They were leading by 3 points at the interval. Killanaule made a come-back in the second half but a goal and two points towards the end finished this game as a contest. Again this was
a great team effort from Ballina who now play Knockavilla Kickhams in the County Final in Borrisoleigh next Saturday. Best of luck to the team and management as they seek the first county title for the club this year.

Intermediate Hurlers: The Intermediate team play Sean Treacy’s next Saturday in the Intermediate County semi-final. The game is fixed for Newport at 3pm. Your support is vital for this most important clash of the year for the Ballina team.
