It was with great regret that at a recent executive committee meeting that the clubs events officer Henry Geraghty resigned from his position. Henry will be moving away from the parish in the coming months and felt that it would be best to hand over the role in plenty of time for next years banquet. Henry had been involved at committee level for the best part of the last twelve years during which time he made a huge contribution to the club. The popularity of our annual banquet can be largely attributed to the hard work and dedication of Henry.
In 2003 Henry was instrumental in taking 32 members of the club, on what now is an historical trip, to Canada an event that will never be forgotten by the parish. Although the first two days of the week long trip was spent on Irish soil, the remainder of the trip, ran to perfection. Henry was honoured in 2004 with the club man of the year.
