Adult Football
Castlerea conceded the Junior B league game to Elphin on Sunday last. The team take on Michael Glaveys on Sunday next in Championship at 2pm in the Orchard.
Elphin/Ballinameen Round-up
The Elphin/Ballinameen Minor Championship game against Kilmore/Shannon Gaels/ St. Ronan’s, due to be played in the Orchard on Tuesday evening at 8pm was postponed.
Club Rossie
The 2018 Club Rossie annual draw takes place on July 9th. Club Rossie is the main income generator for our county teams and is a vital support to the work been done at all levels in Roscommon GAA. We urge anyone who can to become a member, Gold Membership costs €230 per year & Bronze €100. Membership, which includes entry to the draw, can be purchased/renewed online (www.clubrossie.ie) or by cheque/cash by contacting Eric Murray on 086 8276895 or Coman Brady on 086 6091106. Over the coming days we will be in touch with everyone from the club who purchased tickets last year.
Elphin LGFA
Congratulations to Seamus and Debbie Leonard on winning €350 in the county LGFA draw.
We are hosting an U10’s blitz this Saturday 30th in the Orchard Park at 1pm. Strokestown, Shannon Gaels, Ballinameen and Elphin / Kilmore are the participating teams. We also have an U8 match at 1pm v Shannon Gaels in the Orchard too.
Hard luck to our U12’s who were defeated in the Division 2B Final by Ballinameen in Kilglass last Tuesday. Well done to all the girls and management for the great achievement of reaching the finals.
Elphin GAA Lotto:
There was no jackpot winner of last week’s lotto, the numbers drawn were 1, 2, 21 & 25. The Lucky Dips winners were: Declan Gaffney, Tullyloyd; Emma Purcell/Ciaran Duignan, Carrownamorheeney; Frank & Annmarie Tiernan, Kilacloughan and Aidan Brady, Barna.
