Thank you to all who contributed to our Lá na gClub celebrations, including Fr. Gannon, the Folk Group and all those who made refreshments and submitted items for the photographic display. Unfortunately some of our events fell victim to the weather but we plan to reschedule them over the coming weeks.
The Seniors continued their Championship preparations by taking on Charlestown in a challenge last Friday night. They host Padraig Pearses in the Championship on Saturday evening in the Orchard at 7:45 and we hope that there'll be a big home support to cheer them on in this important game. The game is part of a double-header with the Intermediate meeting between St. Croans and St. Ronans.
The Juniors were defeated by St. Barrys in the League. Details of their remaining game in the competition is to be confirmed.
The Minors travel to St. Ronans for their Round 2 Championship game on Friday. The match throws in at 7pm and if any parent would be willing to transport players it would be much appreciated – please contact a member of the Management team for details.
Under 16 Training takes place on Wednesday at 7pm, their next Championship game is not until August 23rd
The Under 12s play Boyle in their rearranged Keenan Cup game on Thursday evening. Details TBC
A reminder that the Club Rossie Evening at Roscommon Racecourse takes place tomorrow evening (Tuesday August 5th) with the first race at 5:35pm. Tickets are priced at €20 and include Entry to the Course, Free Bet, Finger Food and entry to a Special Draw with prizes including a two night break for two at the Galway Bay Hotel, €100 Vouchers from local businesses and more. Tickets also include admission the Club Rossie After Party in Carthy's Bar, Castle Street, Roscommon, which will feature comedy from Frank Forde and live music. There will also be prizes for the Best Dressed Gent, sponsored by Edward Donnellan Menswear and Best Dressed Lady, sponsored by the Hodson Bay Hotel and Spa. Tickets are still available from Coman Brady, Anne Rock and Peter Scott
