SENIORS:
Elphin suffered their 1st defeat, in the Senior League Div. 1, to a strong Castlerea team, in Orchard Park, on Sunday. Castlerea started brightly against the breeze and found themselves 1-02 to 0-01 up early in the game, although there seemed to be a clear foul committed in the build up to the goal. Elphin reduced the deficit to 2 points to leave the half time score Elphin 0-04 Castlerea 1-03.
Castlerea stretched their lead after the break adding 1-02 to their tally before 3 unanswered Frankie Cregg frees reduced the margin. However this was as close as Elphin got. Final score Elphin 0-08 Castlerea 2-07.

JUNIOR A:
The Junior A team had a well deserved win over Clan Na Gael in Orchard Park on Sunday in the Tansey Cup League Div. 3. Elphin took control with an early goal and went in 4 points ahead at half time. After the break the defence stood firm against some strong clan attacks and a well taken Colm Rock goal secured the win. Final score Elphin 2-11 Clan 0-09.

JUNIOR B:
The Dockery Solicitors sponsored Junior B team came close to recording their 1st win in Kilglass on bank holiday Monday. Despite playing the 1st half with 14 men Elphin went in at half time level at 0-2 each . Elphin kept in the game with an early 2nd half goal from Matt Hynes and a Dermot Neary point levelled the game with 10 minutes to play but Kilglass finished stronger and finished the game with 3 points to spare. Final score Elphin 1-04 Kilglass 0-10.

MINORS:
The Minors recorded their 1st win in League Div. 2B with a well earned 2-10 to 1-07 win over neighbours Tulsk last Wednesday in Orchard Park. They have finished their league schedule and will play the Summer league from May to June, before the championship begins.
U12 BLITZ:
Our U12`s took part in a very successful blitz organised by the Roscommon Disability Support Group. Elphin had 2 teams taking part in the 9-a-side competition. Both teams won all their games on Saturday. On Sunday, Team 1 beat Kilbride in the div. 3 final and team 2 beat St. Aidans in Div. 6 final.

LA NA GCLUB:
La na gClub takes place in Orchard Park next Sunday 9th May. It starts at 2pm with mass celebrated by Fr. Declan Brady at 3.30pm. All in the community are invited to attend with refreshments served on the Day.
