The Senior team maintained their winning start to the league with a one point win over Roscommon Gaels in Orchard Park on Saturday evening. Elphin had much the better of the first half and a well taken Colm Rock goal helped the team to a five point half time lead. Half time score 1-06 to 0-04.
The 2nd half was a different story with Elphin struggling to put scores on the board, a Paddy O`Connor point being the only one registered in the half. Gaels managed to claw back the lead to a single score before Ollie Kelly`s final whistle. Final score Elphin 1-07 Gaels 0-09.
