The Connaught Scòr Finals took place in the Elphin Community Centre on Sunday last. The event was a huge success with a full house and great entertainment on show. Hard luck to Elphin`s representatives Michael Rock in the recitation, and our set Dancers who were unlucky not to make it to the All Ireland Finals. Mick was competing against his son Dermot who was representing London. Both put in great performances but lost out by the narrowest of margins to the Mayo contestant.

Congratulation must go to the Community Centre Committee who have the Centre in such excellent condition.
The Roscommon Ploughing Championship takes place in Elphin on Sunday 5th next. Anyone interested in stewarding on the day please contact any Club officer for info.
