Under 12’s
The U-12’s continued their unbeaten start to the season with a six point victory over neighbours Castlefin. The home team dominated the first half playing some excellent football with Simon McGlynn (2-2), Jack Blake (0-4), Joseph McGill and Dannan O’ Kane all getting on the score board. Robert Emmet’s responded late in the half with a couple of points to leave the half time score 2-8 to 0-2. In the second half the Castlefin team came more into the game scoring 1-1 to keep the game within their reach. St. Mary’s pressed and created chances but some wayward shooting only saw them add a further goal and a point, with James Kee thundering a shot into the roof of the net. The team came under some late pressure with two Emmet goals but held on for the win. Training for the team is on Friday night at 6pm with the next game away to Naomh Padraig, Lifford on Wednesday.
