All-Ireland Final: A huge congratulations to Nenagh CBS on winning the All-Ireland Colleges Senior Final on Saturday last following a two point win over Kilkenny CBS played in Semple Statium. The final score was 3.10 to 2.11 and this was the schools first time winning this competition. Eire Og had five players who started for Nenagh CBS namely Donnacha Quinn, Kevin Gubbins, Sean Geaney (0-1), Killian Gleeson (0-2) and James Mackey (0-3). Also on the panel were Gary Howard and Dean Ray. Well done to all involved.
Vocational Schools: Best wishes to Nenagh Vocational school in their upcoming refixture vs Rathdowney CC in the All-Ireland semi final.

SHC: Our senior hurlers are out in championship action this Sunday evening in the first round of the championship. This game is against Kilruane and takes place in Toomevara at 6.30. All support welcome.
JAHL: Our junior A team began their league campaign in disappointing fashion at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Saturday evening when losing by two points to Borris-Ileigh. Final score was Éire Óg 1.12 Borris-Ileigh 1.14. Our next game will be against Moneygall, check fixtures for more details.
JBHL: Our junior B team begin the defence our their league when they take on Ballina in Nenagh this weekend. Check fixtures for more details.
Reunion: Last Friday night we had a very entertaining reunion of our successful minor teams (1977,78), Under 21 teams (1979,80, 81, 82) and Junior A team (1983) who won seven county finals in a row, in Andys Bar. It was a tremendous success with many friends from the era meeting up together and sharing a wonderful nostalgic trip down memory lane where past matches were discussed and relived.
Club Development Draw: Thanks to everyone who supported the club in our recent club facilities development draw. It was an outstanding success and congratulations to all the winners.
Helmets: The juvenile club now have stock of medium size helmets in club colours which are great value at €35 per helmet. These helmets are generally suitable up to 12 years old.
Visit: Bishopstown from Cork visited us last Sunday morning bringing their U8 and U14 teams, an enjoyable morning was had by all. Many thanks to all to helped in providing catering for our visitors.
U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. New members always welcome.
U/10’s are back training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. All new members welcome. We had our first blitz last weekend in Toomevara. We played the host Club, Burgess, Kilruane and Borrisoleigh. Everyone got a game and everyone done very well. Thanks to Toomevara for organiszting the Blitz.
U/12’s. The U/12s are now back training on a Monday and Thursday Evening. We should have another blitz this weekend. Details at training.
U14s. The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30. Our Championship is due to start around the 17th of April, so we ask everyone to keep the huge effort they are putting going.
U/16’s are back training. It is good to see the numbers have increased over the last couple of weeks. Texts are being sent out and please let trainers know of your availability. The Championship is starting on the 12th of April.
The junior b and minors on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our Junior B’s opened their league campaign with a 4-11 to 1-00 victory over Knockshegowna. Donna Mitchell got two goals while Louise Hickey and Aileen Duggan got the other two. Congratulations to Louise Hickey who was named captain for the year. A speedy recovery to, Sarah Maher and Moira Walsh, who picked up injuries in the game. Also, best wishes to Danielle Harrington, who was hospitalised during the week. We are due to play Roscrea next weekend in Roscrea in the next round. Players will be notified of details of training and the match via text during the week.
Membership is going very well this year but there are still some outstanding. Any child not registered is not insured to play or train for the Club so please pass on any outstanding membership forms to a committee member or trainer as soon as possible.
A big Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket for The Club Development Draw. Results will appear on the website.
Our sponsored walk will take place on Sunday the 8th at 11am from the hurling Field. This is one of our biggest Fundraisers of the year and we hope everyone from 6 to 60+ will take part. Cards will be given out at training and prizes for completed card brought back on time will be given out also.
