31st January 2011
MEMBERSHIP
2011 club membership is due again and can be paid in Pat Faulkner’s or M&F’s shops, or indeed to any committee member. Membership remains the same at €50 for players (€30 for Students/Unemployed) and €20 for Juvenile or Non-Players.
Players can also be paid to your various team managers or captains and can also be paid online. Just click here for those that are away from the town.
The club membership is a vital part of the club’s finances and it is imperative that all club members pay same over the next month or so to ensure the club can continue to be properly run.
The Club is also looking at arranging a number of discounts that will only be available to club members throughout the year, but more details will follow on that. Also, if you ain’t a paid up member, then don’t come looking for tickets when Cavan get to the All-Ireland……
TRAINING
With Seniors, Juniors and Minors already out working of the Xmas excess, the younger Stars are not to be outdone. The highly successful indoor training resumes on Sunday 6th from 11.30am to 1pm in the Community Centre and will continue each week until the outdoor training starts up in late March. Cost remains just €1.
DINNER DANCE
The Club Dinner Dance is on Friday 11th February 2011 and will take place in The Bailie Hotel. Tickets are €35 and are available from Pat Faulkner, Kevin Sheils and all committee members! The 2010 Senior Championship medals will be presented on the night and music is by The Texas Wildcats.
This promises to be a great night to mark the Seniors’ championship success. Remember though, this function is open to members and non-members alike. The great atmosphere around the town last September & October, notably the day & night of the Championship victory was created by the whole community and we would encourage everyone who delighted in this success to try and make the night if at all possible.
STRATEGIC PLAN
After the success of the Community Development Workshop earlier this month, the club has progressed on our five year strategic plan after great work from the various sub-committees. This plan will now be launched at the club dinner dance when Ulster Council President, Aogan Ó Fearghail, and County Board Chairman, Tom O’Reilly will be in attendance.
This plan will be the framework for how the club is run at all levels over the next five years and copies of the plan will be available from the committee and will also be available to view/download from the club website.
