**Maynooth GAA announce new PRO**

November 8, 2018

After two years service, Martin O' Grady is stepping down as the club's PRO, below are his comments as he steps away.

"Aidan Minnock is bravely stepping into the breach as Maynooth GAA Club PRO and I could not have left the role in more safe and capable hands. Aidan (with Niall Naughton) already got off to a great start as they orchestrated the fantastic Maynooth GAA Celebrity Bainisteoir 2017. The event was a resounding success, so the future is bright. Aidan also coaches in the Juvenile section and has been known to dust off his football boots for the club when required.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as club PRO and I would like to thank all members for their contributions and assistance over the years. The highlight being for me, the Maynooth Oskars 2017, to see members, local businesses and the wider Maynooth community all pull together to have such a memorable club night was an honour and a joy.

When I first moved my family from London to Maynooth 10 years ago (yes, I am a blow in), I was pulled into coaching Nursery by none other than Pat Power (a fellow Bannerman, like myself). Pat along with the club executive (past & present) have skilfully been steering the development of club. The work that has been achieved thus far, has been nothing short of phenomenal and I am really excited about the future development plans that are in motion. The club executive will come to you looking for your input and support of these plans, we will all have a voice in shaping the future of our club.

Ní neart go cur le chéile (A chain is only as strong as its weakest link).

I would like to thank Pat Power & club executive (old & new) for their unending support. May I be the first to congratulate Aidan Minnock in his new role and wish him the very best (he can be reached on pro@maynoothgaa.com). In the meantime, if you need me, I will be coaching the U13 boys & U11 girls.
