West Minor Final Victory
We regained our grasp on the West Minor B Championship following our defeat of a very strong Golden team in Annacarty on Wednesday 3rd. Golden held the upper hand in the initial stages and pounced for a goal after 10 minutes to lead 1-03 to 0-03, we responded well and tacked on score after score to take a half time lead on a scoreline of 0-14 to 1-06. The second half was a tense affair as Golden slowly reeled us in and with 5 minutes left there was 2 points between the sides. We remained calm at this crucial point and helped by fresh legs from the bench we regained control and emerged victorious 0-19 to 1-11 and captain Matt Feehan lifted the cup to scenes of great celebration. Well done to team and management.

We play Solohead in Cappawhite on Friday 5th at 7pm in the west junior football semi final. Best of luck to the lads.

We bowed out of the west championship to Golden-Kilfeacle on Sunday 31st August on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-09.
