Offaly Ladies GAA Underage Blitz
Edenderry ladies Under 10 and under 8 teams took part in the annual Offaly underage blitz which was held in a well prepared Clara venue on Saturday Sept 1st last. All our players showed wonderful skill and determination on the day and have come a long way since the start of the year. The under 10s won out their section and ended up being undefeated throughout the tournament winning both group games against Ferbane and Ballinamre/Durrow, a semi final against St. Vincents and finishing off with a top class performance in the final against Clara. Meanwhile the under 8 girls also played out of their skins winning both group games against Clara and Ballinamere/Durrow and a wonderful semi final against a very determined St. Rynaghs (after extra time) before losing narrowly a very strong St. Vincents in the final. The girls were all treated to refreshments and a medal each for their efforts on the day and a great day was had by all. Well done to all the girls who participated and made all the parents very proud. The next big day for these future stars is our March of the Reds day on Saturday next September 8th.
