Adjourned AGM: The Adjourned AGM of Lorrha GAA club will take place on Monday, 30 March at 8.30pm sharp. A number of issues from the AGM have been carried over plus we will have full information on the proposed development works.
Scór: The North final of Senior Scór will take place in Borrisoleigh on this Saturday February 28th at 8pm. As this is the 40th year of Scór, the North Scór committee would hope that all clubs would take part in at least two competitions. If anyone is interested in taking part, contact club secretary Shane Brophy.
Under 21: With the Under 21 championship set to get underway in the next month, we would call on all those that have not returned to training to do so this Friday and Sunday.
Indoor Hurling: Indoor hurling continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday night at 7pm with Team 4 in charge.
Schools: Well done to Cian Hogan who scored 1-1 in Birr Community Schools’ Leinster Colleges victory over St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny last weekend.
SuperValu Promotion: The club has signed up for the SuperValu ‘Kids in Action’ promotion. A range of sports equipment can be obtained for the club through a collection of tokens earns when shopping in any SuperValu store. We would appreciate that those who collect the tokens would pass them onto Juvenile Secretary Niall Brophy by early March.
Membership: Membership for 2009 is now available. €40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All players must have their membership paid before the start of the league and all membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.
Tipp Draw: With just two draws left on the 08/09 draw, all those will outstanding payments should contact their ticket seller asap.
Merchandise: Jerseys: 2 x size 5-6 – €35; 5 x size 9-10 – €35; 2 x XL – €45; 2 x XXL – €45. Polo-shirts: 1 x XL – €15. Juvenile jacket size 10-11 is €30. Club crested shorts, 2 x 36 inch are €15 and socks are also available while stocks last. All can be purchased from Shane Brophy on 086-0515324.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Midnight Melodies. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Burke and Houlihan families on the death of Pete Burke, Portumna who died last week. May he rest in peace.
We also extend our sympathy to the O’Leary family and the Kilruane MacDonaghs club on the death of Bob O’Leary.
