Congratulations: There is a great glow of pride among the club this week with two All Ireland minor medals coming to the parish after Tipperary’s superb win on Sunday. Congratulations to Patrick Maher who had a fine game, scoring a point and winning some vital frees. Also, well done to Ciaran Haugh who made the bench for the final and hopefully he will be involved on the starting team next year.

Junior A: Lorrha received a walkover from Roscrea in the junior championship on Friday evening. We now face Kildangan this weekend in a playoff with the winner going into the quarter final.

Minor Hurling: The Semi-Final v Kilruane MacDonaghs has been rescheduled for Monday evening next, 10 September in Borrisokane with a 6.15pm throw-in. We urge as many Lorrha supporters to attend the game as possible to get behind this team. Good Luck to the players and management.

Poker Classic: Thomas MacDonaghs Gaelic Football Club of which Lorrha are a part of are holding a fundraising Poker Classic in The Western Pass, Ardcroney on Friday, 14 September. €30 to enter and €10 buy backs.

Lotto: A new lottery ticket of the Lorrha GAA lotto will be coming on stream in the next couple of weeks. The new ticket will contain three boxes with numbers ranging from 1 to 30. Each player can play one box for €2, two boxes for €4 or three boxes for €5.
At last weeks lotto meeting, it was decided to hold the lotto draws in future on a Monday night with all lotto promoters to have their tickets left at the collection points on a Sunday night.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Just Partners. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Kennedy family, Ravakeen and the Hogan family, Nenagh on the death of Kay Hogan, nee Kennedy who died last week. May she rest in peace.
