The first half was even enough and Clonmore could have been closer but for a couple of missed frees and a late penalty for MLR. Half-time: MLR 1-7 Clonmore 0-4.
In the second half the superior fitness of the Rangers lads told as they pulled away in spite of some trojan defending by the Clonmore back-line. The highlight for Clonmore was a spectacular goal from Ray O'Neill where his shot for a point dipped and went over the keeper's head into the far corner.
As their season ends, the club would like to thank all the Junior players & mentors for fulfilling all their fixtures, entertaining us through the long hot summer and making the League & Championship semi-finals.
