Club Website.

The Bride Rovers GAA Club website is at present being overhauled and modernised and will be re-launched in a few weeks.

Junior Football Championship on St. Patricks Day.

We play Dungourney in the Preliminary round of the 2011 East Cork Junior Football Championship on St. Patricks Day. The venue for the game is now changed to Lisgoold with a starting time of 12 noon. It will be a difficult assignment but best of luck to the lads in our first Championship encounter of 2011.

Senior Hurling League.

We played our opening game in the Conroy Cup (Cork County Senior Hurling League) at Carrigtwohill on last Thursday night under lights. There was a degree of uncertainty as to the final scoreline of the contest. I spoke to one person at the game who confirmed that we won by a point 1 11 to 1  10 but later I was told that the ‘official’ score was a draw 1  10 to   2  7 ! We have our second game in the League away to Douglas on next Sunday March 20th.

Minor Football League.

We struggled to put out a team in Dripsey on last Saturday in Round 3 of the Co. MFL. Our opponents were Setanta- a combination of Ballinora and Dripsey. They had already defeated Cloyne and St. Catherines and had a very easy 1  13  to 0 1 win over our depleted side. Thanks toall the players who made the effort to line out for this match. This weekend fixture v Cloyne has to rescheduled and our game for w/end of March 27th is v St. Catherines.
