Congratulations Castlewellan Thirds

Well done Castlewellan Thirds in retaining the County title in a close encounter with neighbours Kilcoo. Castlewellan were by far the superior team but failed to take their scores and as a result were left trailing by a four point margin for most of the game and it was only in the dying moments of the game that the town lads eventually began to win the scores that eluded them for the most of the game to win on a score line of 1.05 to Kilcoo’s 1.04

Coaching meeting for all adult players

As the current season is coming to an end our attention focuses to our requirements for the year ahead.

Top of the list is the need for additional club coaches as we have been struggling this last number of years with less that half the number of coaches necessary to coach and field all our teams in football hurling and camogie.

Help is urgently required if we are to face the challenges of the future and compete competently at all levels.
