Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news.

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online.

More information on your club lottery including lottery results will be displayed at a later date.

Camogie Finals in St Malachy’s Park postphoned until Saturday 30th August

The Camogie Finals scheduled to be held in St Malachy’s Park on Sunday 17th August were cancelled because of the extreme weather coinditions on Saturday which saw the meadow under three feet of water at the bottom section of the field. The junior championship game between Carryduff and Drungath which was to be held there on Saturday was also cancelled. Edward Toner/May Steele Juvenile Boy/Girls Annual Tournament

This year’s Edward Toner/May Steele Juvenile Boy/Girls Annual Juvenile Tournament took place in St Malachy’s Park on Saturday 9th August with the usual high level of entries. Congratulations to Castlewellan girls who lifted the May Steele Cup beating Carryduff in the final. A special word of congratulations to Sarah McArdle who won the Player of the Tournament Award.

In the Shield competition Annaclone were the eventual winners and in the Edward Toner Cup Mayobridge Boys overcame Bryansford

Castlewellan U12 Camogs County Champiuons

Castlewellan U12 Camogs are the toast of the Club having created Club History on Saturday 30th August when the lifted the Club’s first U12 County Camogie title.
In a low scoring game Castlewellan girls who outplayed Ballycran in every sector of the field leaving Ballycran scoreless and winning by 1 goal and 3 points. Well done girls and congratulations also to their dedicated management team of Noreen Keown Dessie Rice and Sinead McCartan
