Death of Paddy Doyle formerly of Water Street, Hacketstown.

Paddy died suddenly today at his home near Gowran, aged 63. He was a gifted footballer who excelled at wing-back for Clonmore in the 1960s & 70’s and for the County Minors in 1971. The club offers condolences to Paddy’s family & friends – brothers Jim, John, Tom & Mick, sister Mary, daughters Aileen & Martina. As a mark of respect, a minutes silence was observed at today’s Minor match and a Guard of Honour will be provided at his funeral in Gowran on Tuesday. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

U-15 Tournament Q/Final: Clonmore 2-4 Ballyroan 6-11

Having beaten Graiguecullen by 4-20 to 1-4 and Stradbally by 4-20 to 2-7 in the Floodlit Cross Border T’ment, our understrength U-15s played well in the first half but were well beaten in the end by Ballyroan Abbey (Laois) in Woodside on Thursday, 3 Nov.

SFL Div 2 Semi-Final: Clonmore 0-9 Myshall 1-10

The Intermediates lost narrowly to Myshall in bitterly cold conditions in NCP today. There was very little between the teams and the Clonmore lads played their hearts out but a first half Myshall goal proved the big difference between the teams in the end.

Death of Mrs Ann McGrath, 1 Hillview, Hacketstown

The club is sad to report the death of Mrs McGrath, widow of the late Liam, mother of former players David, Adrian and Dónal and grandmother of current players, Darren and Enda. May she rest in peace.
