Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news.

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online.

U-14s lose out in County final. Mayo Gaels 1-8 Kilcommon 7-18

November 8, 2018

Our U-14 team put in a battling performance but eventually lost out to a much physically stronger and bigger Kilcommon side in the county division 5 championship final in McHale Park on Sunday afternoon. A few late goals gave Kilcommon a big win on a score line of 1-8 to 7-18. Kilcommon have comprehensively beaten each team this year and one wonders why they were in this division as they were much too good for all the teams.

Intermediate team lose out at home. Mayo Gaels 1-8 Killala 2-13

Our intermediate team lost to Killala in this, the second last round of the 2010 Division 1D league on Saturday evening in Abbey Park. It was a game the Gaels never looked like winning from the start. Killala started well with two unanswered points from play before Danny Burke was unlucky to see his effort come back off the post. Killala were well on top in this early period causing Paul Mannion to pull off a great save from a 45.

Minors win league title. Mayo Gaels 3-6 Kilmovee 1-9

November 8, 2018

A last burst in the final ten minutes when they scored 1-3 saw our minor team capture the county division 5 league title in McHale Park on Sunday with a 3-6 to 1-9 win over Kilmovee. Kilmovee lead 0-4 to 0-2 at halftime having played with the aid of a strong breeze. In a tense second half the sides were level with ten left 2-3 to 0-9. The Gaels finished strongly and an Adam Gallagher goal proved the cruical score to give the Gaels a 3-6 to 1-9 win.

The U-11s lost away to Davitts 4-13 to 3-7. The U-13s beat Ardmoy at home 6-16 to 1-7. The intermediate team lost at home to Kilalla 1-8 to 2-13. The juniors lost away to The Neale 1-9 to 0-8. The U-13s lost away to Louisburgh 3-4 to 2-4. The U-11s are away to Claremorris on Thursday.
