Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news.

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online.

Brave performance but U-14s lose out in league final. Mayo Gaels 3-6 Islandeady 4-15

Our U-14s put in a very brave performance in the league final in McHale Park on Friday evening. A physically stronger Islandeady side ran out winners on a score line of Mayo Gaels 3-6 Islandeady 4-15. All the team gave 100% but Gerry Canavan was outstanding scoring 2-3 and was unlucky not to register two more goals hitting the crossbar. They now prepare for the championship later in the summer.

Comeback falls short for intermediate team. Mayo Gaels 0-9 Cill Chomain 0-11

A strong second half comeback by our intermediate was ultimately in vain as they lost out to Cill Chomain 0-9 to 0-11 in the first round of the intermediate championship at Abbey Park on Sunday afternoon. The result could have been different if the home side had converted a penalty with eight minutes remaining. Played in wet conditions Cill Chomain lead from start to finish and dominated the opening fifteen minutes with three scores from play and a free to give them a 0-1 to 0-4 lead.

The U-12s beat Davitts at 10-8 to 6-8. The intermediate team lost at home to Kilcommon in the first round of the championship 0-9 to 0-11.The U-14s are away to Shrule/Glencorrib on Thursday at 7pm. The intermediate team are away to Killala in the secondary league on Saturday at 6pm. The U-12s are away to Ballinrobe on Monday at 7pm.
