Holy Thursday in the Joes clubrooms is by now synonymous with the Annual Michael Morgan Table Quiz. This years event was again a success, with 25 teams competing and raising over €1,000 for the injured players fund and once again proving the popularity of this prestigious quiz night. So a big thank you to all who made it such a great night, Sponsors, Players, Committee, those from other organisations within the parish and as always the great teams that we regularly get from outside the parish as well. Denise Morgan sponsored beautiful Galway Crystal Vases for each member of the winning team, that team being The Return of the Joes Exiles on 50 points out of 66. Last years winners were close in second place, but might be ruing their reverting to an old name and a change in personnel! The Winners become the first three time winners of the event to date, having won the first two outings before retiring! We have been assured that this was the briefest of returns from retirement, to where the team will return, well until maybe another team becomes four times winners of the event!
