The Hill collected full points after a gutsy but uninspired performance on Sunday in breezy conditions at Bective. Score Meath hill 0 – 12 Bective 0 – 10
Playing against the breeze in the first half Meath hill trailed by 2 pts at half time (4pts to 6) despite only getting a point from a penalty by P.Owens who otherwise had a fine game.
The hill started the second half brightly and by the 15th minute were ahead after points by T.Boyle and the impressive Derek McMahon (2) but old failings came to the fore and the Hill surrendered the lead with 10 mins to go. It was then that Meath hill showed their fighting qualities and driven on by the evergreen Lee Breslin Derek McMahon and T. Boyle added 2pts a piece to a solitary 1pt from Bective to leave the Hill winners by 2 pts at the end.
