A league draw at Na Fianna

November 7, 2018

Moylaghs luckless streak continued in the A league with Na Fianna earning a draw with a pointed ‘45’ with the last kick of the game.

With a strong crosswind blowing and poor underfoot conditions scores were hard got and the home side went in at half time 2 ahead just 3points to 1. Moylagh had dominated the first half but a combination of poor play in the final third and bad finishing left them trailing at half time.

Both sides adapted better in the second half and began to find their range with Moylagh adopting a more measured approach and picking off some fine scores from the likes of Tom O Reilly and Karol Clinton. They looked to have done enough to secure a win until the hosts struck at the end.

Moylagh need to win their final game and, as the fella says, hope that other results go their way if they are to avoid relegation.
