A brief summary of the secretary’s report:

The minor hurling team were congratulated on finishing in the top 4 in Division 1 of the Hurling, a first for the club and a good sigh of the future with a number of these players still able to play minor next year great expectations are expected of them. Well done to Niall Brady for all the work he has put in over the years he has brought this team along the way from U14 up.

In Junoir Competions the County Board were once again slated over the way the Hurling is being run. Lack of games and when we did get games big gapes were in between matches. The board delegate was asked to raise the mater at County lever to try and get an improvement. The footballers have at least 25 training every week and there are some players coming through which will be a benefit to the senior squad.

The lack of commitment from senior players in the Comogie team was one of the reasons this team did not do as well as it should have this year. If every one in the squad gave a commitment the club has no doubt that this team are good enough to win the league or Championship.

The Senoir Hurlers has a fantastic 12 months winning the inter Championship, reaching a Leinster Club final and getting promotion to Div 1 of the league. Nicky and his team are building a great team with fantastic prospects. The aim for the following year will be to retain Division Status and win the Senior B Championship.

The Senior Footballers finished mid was in Division 3 which was an achievement in its self as the team lost its first 6 matches, but rallied around to win  most of the remaining ones, with a bit if luck the actually could have reached the playoff to go up to Div 2 so hopes are hifg for next year.

The following were elected Team Mentors for 2010:

Senior Hurling:         Nicky Kehoe

Senior Football:         Joe Lyons

Senior Comogie:       Vincent Kehoe

Junior Hurling:          David Murphy

Junior Football:         David Murphy

Minor Football:         Seamus McGrattan

Minor Hurling:          Seamus McGrattan

In the treasures report all the people were thanked for their continued support especially those helping out in fundraising. The account for running the club (no 1. Acc) was not in the red for the first time in many years and the bar account showed that we held on to our business during difficult times here in Ireland. This has a lot to do with the bar management and bar committee who made sure standards and value to our customers and members were maintained to the highest levels.
