A very good team performance ensured Annaghdown a place in the Junior ‘A’ North Board League Final when they beat Tuam Stars by 1.12 to 0.7 on Sunday last. Annaghdown played with the aid of a gale force wind in the first half leading 1-9 to 2pts. In the second half we battled well with good performances all over the field. We wish the Tuam player who was injured a speedy recovery. Team was: Padraic O’Neill, Noel Burke, Alan Curry, Cathal Gaffney, Paul Scully, Dermot Naughton, Ian O’Dowd, Shane Kavanagh(0-1), Alan Newell capt. (1-0), Ger Rafftrey(0-3), Padjoe Fahy(0-4), John King, Aidan Burke(0-2), Vinnie Small & Enda Mullarkey(0-1). Subs: Brian O’Dowd, Patrick Burke, Declan Walsh, Liam O’Flynn and Carl Leonard.
