Athlone Town travelled to Santry last Sunday to take on the Eircom League new boys and came away on the wrong end of a 2 – 0 scoreline.  Best for Athlone on the day were Robbie Hamm, Jason McCartney and Ciaran Kelly.

Next Match

A big Good Friday attendance is expected when Athlone play host to Waterford United on Friday 21st March with the kick off set for 7.45PM.  Waterford are many pundits prediction as the team everyone has to beat if they are planning to gain the one automatic promotion place available this season and this will be a true test for Athlone.  Admission prices are Adult €15, Student €10 (with valid ID), Under 16 / OAP €5 and Under 12s are free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Athlone Town vs Bray Wanderers

Athlone Town travel to The Carlisle Grounds, Bray on Monday 24th March for the first round of this seasons League Cup.  Kick off is 7.45PM.

Athlone Town FC AGM

Athlone Town AGM will be held on Monday 21st April in the Town Bar, Lissywollen at 7.30PM.  Membership fee for 2008 is €25 and must be paid on or before 1st April.

Payment will be accepted in the club office or by any committee member on match nights.  Only paid up members will be entitled to vote on the night.  All are welcome.
