Athlone Town AGM
The 2008 Athlone Town AGM was held Monday night in the Town Bar,
Lissywollen. The following were elected
to the executive committee by the members who attended. Tom Fitzgerald, Mattie Lough, Nicky Moran,
Chris Enright, John Comber, Tony Connaughton, Liam Gaffey and Tony Knight. The elected committee will now meet Friday
morning at 9.30 am and in line with the club constitution decide on the people
who will hold the committee positions ie. Chairman, Secretary etc for the
coming year.
Under 17s
The Under 17s match last Sunday was called off due to Lourdes Celtic
being unable to travel. They now lie 3rd
in the table level on points with Rangers CYM and Drogheda

has now reached the final design stage and the webmaster will start uploading
content over the next couple of weeks.
The website will then be officially launched to the press and the public
at one of our upcoming home games.
Special Guests
St Josephs FC Under 11s, their parents and coaches will be special
guests of Athlone Town at this weekends match vs Dundalk. They did their club, the ADSL and Athlone
proud in reaching the semi finals of the Menton Seery Under 11 SFAI Cup before
falling to the favourites for the competition Cherry Orchard. Having witnessed St Josephs playing at the
weekend I can say that there are definitely some stars of the future comigh
through the under age ranks.
