Bray Wanderers 3 Athlone Town 0

Athlone went down 3-0 to Premier Division club Bray in the first round of the League Cup. Athlone started without Ian Rossiter (Family Bereavement) and Davy Byrne (Swollen Knee) but didn’t look out of place in the game until Bray took the lead midway through the first half.
