Athlone Secure point in Limerick
Athlone Town kept their unbeaten start to the season when they secured a 0-0 draw against Limerick FC Friday night in Jackman Park.  Although Limerick had the majority of possesion they created little and Athlone had chances through Stephen Place and Noel McGee.  
 
Athlone Town vs Waterford United
Athlone Town play host to Waterford United this Sunday in Athlone Town Stadium (kick off 5pm).  Athlone will be without the services of Des Hope who is suspended but all other players are expected to be fit for selection after the bruising battle in Limerick last week.   Match will be sponsored by DSV Transport.
 
Charlie McGettigan in Concert
Charlie McGettigan will take to the stage of the Dean Crowe Theatre on Saturday, March 28th next, as part of a special fundraising concert in support of Athlone Town FC.  Tickets are priced at €20 and €15 for Patrons Scheme members.  For bookings contact the Dean Crowe Theatre on 090 6492129. Under 17s get back to winning ways
Athlone town Under 17s got back in the winning grove last weekend when they were 3-2 victors over Belgrove FC.  This win leaves them second in the DDSL Major Division 1 table behind St Patricks Athletic
Next up for the 17s is an away trip to play St Josephs Boys in the quarter finals of the Leinster Youths Cup next Sunday 29th March.

Everyone involved with Athlone Town FC would like to wish St Peters FC the best of luck in their FAI Quarter Final match against Lisselton next Sunday 29th March in McCarthy Park.
 
Local Derby in EA Sports Cup
Athlone Town secured a home draw in the First Round of the EA Sports Cup (Formerly the League Cup) against local rivals Longford Town.  This match will be played on either Monday 13th or Tuesday 14th April.  Details will appear in local press and on www.athlonetownfc.ie when confirmed.
