Awards Night

November 8, 2018

The 2009 club football awards night took place in Mackens bar, Kilmaine recently. Special guest and Kilmaine man Jonathan Mullin was on hand to present awards. Jonathan was previously an RTE sports correspondent and is currently editor of the Racing Post.

The night also seen the presentation of a defibrillator to the club by Helen Macken. Helen set up a collection point in Kilmaine for used mobile phones which were then exchanged for a defibrillator under the ‘Fones4life’ scheme. The machine is a vital piece of equipment for any club, only recently such a device saved a spectators life at a Wolfe Tones club match in Shannon.

A good turn out on the night ensured an excellent round of applause for each award and plenty of banter of the year gone past. Kilmaine GAA would once again like to congratulate all award recipients and thank those who turned out for the night.
