Ballina GAA and Parish Lotto Build Up:   As you know, our Jackpot figure now stands at €11,800.   A  Build Up Jackpot is now underway and presently stands at €3,800.  As long as the main Jackpot is not won, each Jackpot figure will receive the €200 bonus every second week.

Self Help; Pat Bouchier Hayes would like to thank the Ballina GAA club who organized the recent collection and the people of Ballina who generously contributed almost €600 for a very worthy cause whereby our financial resources are used to tap into their own natural resources for survival.

Timber Auction:   Preparation is ongoing on this project.   If you want to contribute timber or volunteer to help the different groups involved in the harvesting of the firewood each Saturday, please submit your name to Club Secretary, John Gleeson, as soon as possible.

Squash:    This season is well underway.   With bad weather and long evenings, it is the ideal game to keep in shape over the Winter period.   New members are always welcome.  For full details contact John Healy.

Ballina Choir:  On Sunday, November 28th, The First Sunday of Advent, our new Choir Director and Organist, Paul Collins, will take up duty in  Ballina.  Paul is Lecturer in Music at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and lives with his wife and family in Inis Cealtra, Ballina.  It is our hope to reconstitute our Choir for Christmas and celebrations throughout the year.  Paul will lead a rehearsal in the Church on Friday next, November 12th at 7pm for interested children (9 years of age +) and at 7.30pm for adults.  Singing in church is very much part of our liturgy.  If God has blessed you with a nice singing voice this is your opportunity to give thanks and praise to Him.  Rehearsals will take place every Friday evening and the choir will sing on Sunday mornings at the 11.30pm Mass.  The parish take this opportunity to welcome Paul and assure him of our support and appreciation and also wish to thank Sadie Scanlon for her contribution to Church Music in the Parish since 1990.
