Under 16 Hurling Final: Pride of place this week must go to our Under 16 hurlers for bringing the First piece of silverware to the club this year. After an epic encounter with neighbours Burgess, this exciting game went to extra time in a bid to separate both teams. Ballina pushed ahead in the second period of extra time. Conor Maguire, proud captain, raised the cup to an estatic Ballina
following at the end of game. The team paraded through Ballina, after attending Ballina’s Intermediate game in Moneygall, and a club reception was held for the team in the GAA Complex. Congratulations to everyone involved in this great victory.

Intermediate Hurlers: This team clashed with Clonakenny in the Intermediate County Quarter Final. The game was played In Moneygall under ideal weather conditions last Saturday afternoon. This was a closely contested affair and like the Under 16 final, extra time was required to get a result. Down two points and down to fourteen players, Ballina put on an excellent display of hurling in the second half and the game ended in a draw, Ballina 1-12 to 0-15 for Clonakenny. In extra time, Ballina looked the fitter team and managed to score three goals and eventually went on to win by eight points.

Fixtures: Ballina are due to play Ballinahinch in the County Intermediate League in Newport next Saturday.

Best of Luck: Best of Luck to Stephen O Brien and Mike Breen and the Tipperary Minor Hurling team who replay the All Ireland Final against a Dublin team who are going for the double in Croke Park next Sunday.
