Friday Church Services in Ballina: After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm. Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm. Why not come along and pray awhile.

Looking for your Path: St. Joseph’s Carmelite Monastery in Tallow, Co. Waterford is offering a Monastic Weekend with the title “Looking for your Path”, from September 21st to September 23rd. Recently Deceased: We would ask you to remember in your prayers the soul of Mattie O’Brien, New St, Killaloe, father of T.J., Main St. Ballina and Teresa, Ballycorrigan whose funeral took place in Killaloe last week.

First Friday: Friday next, September 7th, is the first Friday of September. Masses on Friday will be in Ballina at 10am and in Boher at 7.30pm. The usual Communion Calls will be make to the sick and housebound on that day.

Recently Baptised: We welcome into God’s family; Soren Houghton, 9 Ard Coillte, son of Sharon and Francis who was baptized in Ballina Church recently.

All Ireland Minor Final: Best of Luck to Stephen O’ Brien and Mike Breen and the Tipperary Minor Hurling team in the Final against Dublin next Sunday.

Guess The Score Cards: This project relating to the All Ireland Minor Final are in circulation in the area this week. Test your knowledge and you might win some of the € 300 prize money that will be available. Please note all cards must be returned before Saturday, September 8th.

Intermediate Hurlers: The Intermediate team play Ballinahinch week ending 15th September. Meanwhile training continues Tuesday and Friday evenings at 8pm. Ballina are down to play Kilruane in Junior A football in Puckane on Wednesday, September 5th at 6.45pm.
