Ballina GAA and Parish Lotto Build Up:   As you know, our Jackpot figure now stands at €14,000.   A  Build Up Jackpot is now underway and presently stands at €6,200.  As long as the main Jackpot is not won, each Jackpot figure will receive the €200 bonus every second week.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes:  This pilgrimage takes place from June 16th to  the 21st.  Price €680.  Further details are on the Church Notice Boards.

Trocaire:   Last year our parish collected €17,500 for Trocaire.  Please be generous and return your Trocaire box/envelope to the church.  Please do not leave sums of money in the church when it is unattended.

Ar Shli na Firinne:   We remember in our prayers the soul of Michael Seymour, 60 Lakelands, Cullenagh, Ballina whose funeral took place last Monday morning.  May he rest in peace.

Senior & Active Retired Citizens of Ballina:   The annual breakaway will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 26th/27th.  This year the trip will take in Galway, Ballintubber Abbey and on overnight stay in Sligo.  Return route will take in Boyle, Roscommon and Lough Key Forest Park.  Fare is €100 with a single supplement of €12.  Please contact any member of the committee and €50 will secure your place.

County Draw:  The local launch of The County Draw will be held in the Clubhouse next Friday evening at 9.30pm.   This meeting will be addressed by officers of the Tipperary County Board.  The draw will feature a great array of prizes including the Skoda Superb – the Star prize in the first draw and a €250 cash prize for the top promoter in each club. The County Draw is a lifeline for both club and county and new promoters are encouraged to join the sales effort in order to maintain and, if possible, increase the

County Draw income. Please return any outstanding money from the old draw to Eugene Power as soon as possible.

 

Congratulations: We congratulate Stephen O Brien who featured on the Tipperary Minor Football team which defeated Limerick in the first round of the Munster Football Championship and Mike Breen who will be part of the Tipperary Minor Hurling team which play Waterford in the first round of the Munster Hurling Championship Wednesday on evening.  Well done to our Under 16 A  Footballers who defeated a Newport-Ballinahinch team by one point to reach the North Final after a titanic game.

 

Fixtures:  Our Junior A  hurlers are out against Kilruane next Saturday evening,  The Minor Hurlers will also be involved in championship action next weekend.
