Intermediate Hurling: Ballina clashed with a strong Moyne-Templetuohy team in Dolla recently.  The game was played in ideal weather conditions and the pitch was  perfect  for hurling. This was a tough, tight game with defenses on both sides in control for most of the contest.   At the interval both teams

were level at 8 points each. The turning point of the game was the awarding of a penalty after T.J. O’Connell was fouled in the square.  Martin McKeogh drove a shot to the roof of the net putting Ballina ahead by 2 points. They added 3 more points in the last 5 minutes to leave the final score 1-15 to 0-13. Their next game is against St Mary’s which will be played in Clonmel around Easter time. The Junior A’s are out in the league next weekend after receiving a bye in the first round.

Scrap Metal:  The Scrap Metal Collection was a great success.   The club would like to thank everyone

who contributed waste metal and the volunteers who helped out in getting all material ready for collection.
