Wedding Bells:   Congratulations to Liz Bourke, Shoreside and Gerard Duff, Shoreside, who were married last weekend.

Recently Baptized:   We welcome into God’s family, Nicole Moloney, Coolbawn, Ballina, daughter of Michael and Claire who was baptized last weekend.

Sacred Heart Messenger:   We thank Elizabeth Foley who gave a presentation on the Sacred Heart Messenger at all Masses last weekend.  Elizabeth gave a free copy of the magazine to all who attended Mass.  If you are interested in subscribing, please contact their offices and the address and phone numbers provided.

Friday Church Services in Ballina:   After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm.  Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile with us?

Ballina development fund draw With just four weeks to go to the All Ireland Hurling Final, interest is picking up in the draw for two tickets for the final and an overnight stay in a city hotel.   For just €2, you could land this very attractive prize.  There are similar prizes for the Football and Camogie All Ireland weekends. The draw will be held at the end of August.  Remember!  If you are not in, you cannot win.

The Tipperary County Board:   The County Board have launched a new Double Draw Bonanza in aid of the training fund for the county hurling and football teams.  The prizes include a trip for two to Australia for the compromise rules games in October and a holiday for two to San Francisco with the All Stars in late November. Tickets cost €10 each and can be obtained from any club officer.

Super Value:   This chain of supermarkets have launched a competition to find Ireland’s Number One Real GAA Supporter.    They want to celebrate GAA fans who have real pride and passion in their county and local club.  The winner will receive €10,000 to spend on GAA activities in their community as well as a VIP package for two people including tickets, accommodation and €500 spending money to the  All Ireland Football Final in September. James McKeogh Memorial Tournament:   This tournament will be played in Dublin on Saturday, August 13th at the Na Fianna Club.  After last year’s success, it is a must for anyone travelling to Dublin for the weekend.
