Report:
Another good show by the Ballivor U12’s this week. This was another of those ‘games of 2 halves’. The first half was very cagey from boths sides and the teams were very evenly matched as was demonstrated by the score at half time. Ballinabrackey had the better of the earlier exchanges, and Ballivor became stronger as the half drew to a close. The second half though was very different as Ballivor shot out of the blocks with a number of goals. The Ballivor midfield partnership was working well and most attacks were now producing scores. Some tactical substitutions also paid dividends. Ballinabrackey were by no means lying down and put together some good flowing moves but Ballivor continued to exert their dominance in the key areas and ultimately built a substantial lead that was just too great to overcome. So Ballivor have managed to get back-to-back wins and seem to have grown into a real team. next week, it is away to St. Vincents – let’s hope that the run continues.
