Report:
Ballivor were outclassed in this opening fixture of the U13 league. Boardsmill played a very strong and controlling game which Ballivor struggled to match early on. Toward the end of the first half, though, Ballivor began to string together some good football with some strong running from A. Collins and L. Doyle in midfield feeding the full forward line and this pressure did pay dividends including a clever punched goal from A. Troy to finish the half. However, the strength of the Boardsmill team told in the second half and they never looked in danger of surrendering the lead. B. McKeon worked tirelessly along the right wing and there were certainly some hopes for the remainder of this competition as the team mature – this was after all their first outing as a team and at times it showed.
