Ballivor followed their success in the league with an impressive win over near neighbours Kildalkey in the first round of the Championship. Kildalkey were very quick out of the blocks and scored a goal almost straight from the throw-in. However, Ballivor soon composed themsleves and began to dominate the play and took some nice scores. At half time, Ballivor had a slim lead but were in control. They pressed hard in the second half and built up an impressive tally of scores. Kildalkey put some very strong moves together and had a number of very strong talented footballers but the day belong to Ballivor and it was an impressive final scoreline that leaves them to progress into the next round.
