Ballivor had travelled far to this game and were in control for large periods. At one stage in the second half, Ballivor had a 12 point lead. However Rathkenny rallied and, in the end, Ballivor were holding on to the slender 1 point margin to get their win. Indeed, things could have been very different had Gary Sherrock not made a brilliant point blank double save in the final minutes of the game. As it was, Ballivor got a good away win under their belt and look forward to their next fixture away to Kilmainhamwood.
