Eight players from Barna GAA represented Galway West with distinction at the Connacht U14 Blitz played at Ballyhaunis on Saturday.
Congratulations to the Barna boys on the panel, including Rhys Butler, Pádraig Lenihan, Francis Fallon, Seán Fitzgerald, Dara Golden, Cillian Cleary, Jack Keady and Mark Boyle.
Five of the boys represented Galway West on the team that overcame Roscommon, 2-6 to 2-2 in the opening game. Fitzgerald captained the side that included Butler, Lenihan, Golden and Keady.
In the second game, Galway West beat Mayo East by 2-7 to 2-2, with Boyle coming on at full-forward and bagging a goal.
All eight Barna boys featured in the last game, against Mayo North, which was won by Galway West on a score line of 4-11 to 0-1.
The club officers would like to congratulate the Barna boys and their U14 management.
