Barna GAA Club was founded in 1965 and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the Club Executive Committee is currently working on producing a special 50th anniversary publication which will be available later in the year. Our aim is to document some of the history of the club and its development over the years covering juvenile, seniors and ladies sections.
So far, we have received some wonderful photographs of past teams and copies of newspaper articles of various club successes but we need more and appeal to your help in this regard.
If you have, or know someone who has, any old photographs of teams, past chairmen, founding members and people who made a significant contribution to the club then we want to hear from you. In particular we are light on material from the early years of the club (1960s- 1970s).
