248 people attended the Barna GAA Social last night in the Clybaun Hotel which was the highest attendance in recent years. Galway Senior Manager Kevin Walsh was the guest of honour and he presented the various club awards to the following: Senior Player of the year Paddy Naughton, Junior 'A' Conor Curran, Junior 'C' Barry Diver, Minor Conor Keenan and Ladies player of the year Ciara Lynagh. Club person of the year went to Mark MC Donagh while special merit awards went to Enda Flaherty and Michael Gill for all their work with the ladies team over the past few years. Following an excellent meal, the band Raindance followed by a DJ kept the dance floor packed all night . This was a brilliant night and Club Chairman thanked everyone for their support in attending in such great numbers and in particular Gráinne Mc Donagh for her driving force in leading the organising committee.
