Beautiful Day for Féile in Baile Doite

U14 teams from Meelick Eyrecourt, Portumna and Tynagh Abbey Duniry came to Moycullen to contest the final stages of the Group matches in the Toddie Byrne Cup, the A section of the competition. Portumna and Tynagh Abbey Duniry proved the strongest teams with Portumna powered the next generation of Canning winning out in the end. Mágh Cuilinn had lost narrowly to Meelick Eyrecourt for third in a frantic finish.
Great work had been done all week to have the dressing rooms ready with Seán Barrett in command of the painting and Mattie Donohue fitting the benches. Noel Thomas, Liam Hynes, Lal Conneely and Michael McDonagh did trojan work on the pitch. While Aodh Davoren and his Juvenile Committee put in time cleaning and tidying in general, Sadie Davoren and Ann Marie Walsh and helpers provided refreshments throughout the day. Thanks to all who helped to get things ready, contributed food and simply supported.
