We extend the sympathy of St. Patricks GAA Club to the O’Brien Family Drangan on the recent untimely death of Maurice O’Brien RIP. In years gone by when Maurice ran a popular butchers stall in Drangan both Maurice and Margaret were generous sponsors of St. Patricks GAA club.
When St. Patricks won the South Tipperary Junior Hurling title last year Richard was looking after the physical training with Michael Nash and this year Richard and Michael are training the Co. Tipperary Intermediate Ladies Footballers. In his younger days Richard was a strong and commanding full back on several under age football teams. As a mark of respect our medal presentation was postponed from Saturday 30th January to Saturday 6th February. May the soul of Maurice O’Brien rest in peace.
